Are there objective standards of beauty? Or is beauty in the eye of the beholder? Must art be beautiful to be great art? What is the role of the experience of beauty in a good life?
Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder... taste varies... its like the saying "one persons junk is anothers treasure" with art as well... some people like art that has an almost antique look to it... where I prefer the more modern abstract art... Each to his own.

beauty is in everything around us. we just need to look closer. we have to be still and look and appriciate the beauty in people, nature, and the heavens. when we are not satisfied with our selfs we miss the beauty around us
Beauty is in all... Yes taste are deferent so you might like some thing I dont. But then ever persons mind levels are deferent and every person see things in a defernt way. Thats whats making life such a wonderful place.
